Description

For those new to the style, Rakija is a distilled spirit made from fermenting and distilling fruit. Rakija and its similar collective names from around the region is the most popular spirit from the Balkans.

We have travelled the traditional Macedonian route and made ours with grapes. The grape spirit is then aged in charred French oak barrels to draw out additional flavour and colour, mellowing the clear spirit and turning it honey gold.

In the summer nights, Rakija is best served ice cold from the fridge or freezer. In the colder months Rakija can be served at room temperature for that warming feeling on the neck and chest. Best served straight and accompanied with antipasto platter (meze) and a side glass of soda, or great for your experimental mixer.
