After spending years fitting tyres and brewing beer in his spare time, Tim and at the time Simon, converted the same space, the old tyre service into a 200 seat bar and restaurant. The old tyre racks were replaced with a 1500 litre brewing system that now churns out over 30,000 litres of beer a month.

With a focus on unpretentious, flavour packed brews Tumut River Brewing Co has found the sweet spot nestled between hoppy, full flavoured craft beer and easy drinking sessionals for those Sunday afternoons. Never ones to shy away from innovation Tim and head brewer Rob churn out not only exceptional but creative beers. They pack in galaxy hops (The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy), Ginger Beer made with local apple juice (Ginja Ninja) and the American inspired Full Grunt APA. Once a month, the guys produce a limited release brew; either bringing back a favourite such as the XPA or something a little more left field such as the Sugar Baby Sour. But it's the locals that keep the guys grounded.

The discerning folk of small-town Tumut make sure nothing gets too weird and you're guaranteed the highest quality, refreshing drop in every middy, pint or schooner. Brewed with locally sourced Voyager Craft Malt from the Riverina and arguably the best water in the land, your punters won't be disappointed.
