Description

Perry is the name given to cider made traditionally from pear juice. Our pear cider is made from freshly crushed pears, and is crisp, refreshing and light. A delicate nose with a hint of verbena and lilac with fresh pears, with a nice palate weight and a good crunchy texture.

This is a lovely drink to pair with seafood inspired dishes, chilli stir fry and noodles. It can be consumed at any time and with a number of cuisines. It is just as lovely to drink as a daytime refreshment or during an intimate evening meal.

As it’s light in alcohol it is also good for the health conscious.

Darkes Forest - Illawarra - NSW Darkes Cider and Mead are proudly produced using fruit from our 6th generation family farm, Glenbernie Orchard, and honey harvested from within the farm and in the local area. Decades of experience from the Fahey family in perfecting the growing and harvesting of premium quality fruit, and a real love for cider, underpin the selection of just the right combination of fruit for brewing each cider, including specific apple cider apples and heritage apples grown for this purpose. All our ciders are made from 100% fresh crushed fruit, with no added sugar or water, and are vegan friendly and gluten free.
